Speeding up SMS and Email Messages
Reports of SMS or Email messages taking up to 10 minutes to arrive have been reported over the last few weeks since the Share Survey Screen update.
We have made an update to how we interact with our Email and SMS providers to address this. We are now seeing SMS arrival times of 6-10 seconds based on our testing. If you are experiencing slower times then it may be to do with Telco operators applying SPAM filtering to our messages. Unfortunately this can be unavoidable due to the rise in unsolicited SPAM/Phishing messages people are experiencing. SMS messages that contain a URL such as OpenFIT messages to complete a survey are especially vulnerable.
Where the option is available in countries like Norway we register our message templates with the Telco operators and these approved templates improve our performance and deliverability.
We are also considering other Share Survey channels such as WhatsApp and Push Notifications so keep in touch for the latest updates on that front.
