Using the ORS or SRS survey when face to face with clients
You can select the ORS or SRS survey in two ways: Both ways take you to the screen where your client can complete the ORS or SRS feedback survey.
1, Select the Quick survey menu option which automatically creates a session for that date and time.
To administer an ORS this way, first select the Case by clicking on the tick box beside the Case number and then click on the button ‘Quick Survey’. You can then select the ORS or SRS survey and the selected Survey will be displayed
2. An alternative option is to create a Session in the Session and Surveys screen and then add a Survey to it.
To get to the Session and Surveys screen for a Case first select the Case by clicking on the tick box beside the Case number and then click on the ‘View Surveys’ button. This will take you to the Session and Surveys screen for that Case.
Click on the New Session option to create a new Session. Add the date and time to that session.
Then select that Session and click on the Survey menu option and you will be given the option of adding an ORS score or SRS score to the Session selected. Select ORS Add or SRS Add and the selected Survey will be displayed.
Completing the ORS or SRS feedback survey
If there is only one Client in the Case they will be displayed at the top of the feedback survey. Cases that are couple, family or group cases will have more than one client. As each feedback survey is completed the next Client in the Case will be displayed. You can select Skip to skip the next client or Skip All to skip all remaining clients.
To select a specific Client on the feedback survey screen click the down arrow to select that Clients to complete the ORS or SRS. All the clients linked to the case will appear here. If you have assigned collateral raters to this case you will also see them listed. Select the client or collateral rater you wish to complete the ORS and click Take Survey to take you to the ORS screen.
Capturing the Client Feedback when face to face with clients
When the required survey is selected you then hand the tablet (or laptop) to the client. At the first session with the client or clients it is best to read out the instructions for completing the feedback survey at the top of the screen and explain how to score each subscale.. You can also ask the client to read the instruction text text displayed.
The ORS scale will then appear and the client can then select their score for each subscale of the ORS by moving the scoring line to a point on the scale using their finger or a mouse. If the client is a young person or child you also have the option of selecting the CORS.
The Client then presses Enter Score to complete the survey and move to the Expected Treatment Response chart which displays their feedback score. They can then click Next to accept that score or Retake to retake the survey. They can also select Cancel to cancel and exit the feedback survey.
The process is repeated for each Client until all the Clients for that Case have completed the ORS or SRS survey. If there are any clients in a case who are absent then select Skip to go to the next available client.
When the ORS scores are completed the system returns to the ‘Sessions and Survey’ screen and the session details and ORS score are displayed for that client. If there are additional clients in the case their session details and scores can be viewed by selecting the tab with their name,
Add Session Notes
When the feedback survey for a Session are complete and the system has returned to the ‘Sessions and Survey’ screen you can then add notes to the session if required. Click the + Notes button to add a note to the session highlighted.
At any time you can quickly review Session notes by hovering over the Viewer icon (which looks like an eye).
Options on the Feedback Survey screen
Change Language
You have the option to change the Survey language to different languages, for example if you are seeing an immigrant client who prefers to complete the feedback survey in their native language.
Manual entry
If for some reason the client cannot complete the survey by themselves on the screen then you can ask the client verbally for their score out of ten for each subscale and then use the Manual Entry option to type in the score they give you.
